Pay: Starting at $17.33/hr. , with wage rate progression to $17.89 upon 31st actually worked day & an additional wage rate progression to $18.34 at 6 months, $18.67 at 12 months and $18.99 at 18 months of employment


Durations/Usual Hours Per Week: Permanent, full-time, non-exempt. 40 hours/week minimum


Overtime: Voluntary; for all hours worked in excess of eight(8) in any workday; for hours worked in excess of forty (40) in a workweek; or for Saturday work (typically 5 hour shifts if offered).


Shift/Work Days: First Shift Only. Monday-Friday. 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

  • Perform a limited variety and number of coil winding operations, winding primary and secondary portions of transformers, that comprise wire sizes coarser than 15 gauge. Receive direction and instruction relative to work assignment from Supervisor.
  • Operate single or multiple coil winding machinery to wind these portions of transformer, following instructions and coil winding specification sheet. Wind specified number of wire turns, busbar or copper strip with proper tension, rap insulation between layers and solder, braze, weld or crimp, splice, and fasten leads or other sub assemblies to coil as specified. Operate coil winding machinery and related equipment such as welder, brazing torch, electric brakes and hydraulic tools as required. Make adjustments to machinery and tools as needed and required.
  • Use a variety of hand tools such as solder iron, hot glue gun, hammer, bolt cutters, aviation shears, scrapers, grinders and side cutters, wrenches, dividers, scales and pliers. Load and unload machines, wire racks and tensions, string up wire through wire guides and/or splice for continuous operation, move completed units to next operation. Use winding fixtures and arbors, hoists, low-lift hand truck and other lifting devices.
  • Detect faulty operations and equipment, defective materials, shortages, discrepancies in material or specifications and report to Supervisor. Make out time and production reports.




  • Over 1 year up to and including 2 years of manufacturing experience desired. Ability to frequently lift or move light weight material. Good hand/eye coordination & manual dexterity. Some judgement required to wind coils in accordance with specifications and instructions. Continuous mental and visual attention required to perform assigned work.
  • Experience using specifications, schedules, charts and adjustable measuring instruments. Use of mechanic’s hand tools, wire welders, brazing torch, solder iron, hot glue gun, dividers, scales, and micrometers.
