Job Description Summary

Responsible for the supervision, direction and coordination of the Quality Assurance activities comprised of in-process and final product testing and inspection operations covering receiving, machining, welding, coil winding, coil finishing, assembly, testing and shipping functions. Ensure that quality of product is in compliance with the Quality Control Manual and ISO 9000 documented procedures and in accordance with Engineering and customer standards, specifications and related requirements, under the general direction of the Manager, Quality Assurance. Perform other related duties as assigned or associated with the responsibility. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications of Employer

Education: Knowledge of electronics or electrical technology, electrical transformer inspection methods testing, instrumentation, and component materials. Equivalent to high school plus broad practical and technical background comparable to 2 years of college.

Experience: Over 4 years up to and including 5 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Reading and interpreting complex drawings and quality assurance specifications, and prepare reports. Familiar with manufacturing and ISO 9000 requirements.

Other Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to analyze data and create and review processes. Considerable judgment required to modify or adapt usual practices to meet new or unusual specifications, deal with customer and outside inspectors, analyze and interpret test data to locate defects and their causes, and compile quality control manuals for respective products. Character of duties require normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination for over 50% of the time. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Durations/Usual Hours Per Week:  Permanent, Full-Time, Exempt. 40 hours/week minimum
  • Shift/Work Days: First Shift. Monday-Friday. 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
