Our commitment to the environment

SNC Manufacturing Co., Inc. is committed to supporting the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act Section 1502 for Conflict Minerals. Our policy has always been to comply with all federal, state and local regulations.

We do not procure tantalum, tin, gold or tungsten, but these metals may exist in some of the raw materials and components that are used in the manufacturing of our products. Since we do not purchase these metals directly from the mines or smelters, we request that our suppliers use due diligence to investigate and identify the origin of the conflict minerals with disclosure of the information to SNC Manufacturing using the most recent revision of the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template.

It is our expectation that SNC Manufacturing suppliers only purchase minerals from non-conflict sources that do not support illegal or unethical actions in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) region. SNC is dedicated to the social responsibility of working with our suppliers to comply with Conflict Mineral Regulations through traceability that the supplied materials are “conflict-free.”

As a global leader in the manufacturing of electrical transformers for a wide range of industries, SNC Manufacturing Co., Inc. maintains a constant focus on working within governmental regulations and guidelines to meet customer specific environmental control options.

Product compliance status is based on information provided to us by our suppliers. Each supplier confirms through documented evidence, the environmental status of the product component materials as compliant, non-compliant or within the specified limits of the specific regulation.

When SNC customers request environmental compliance status of existing products, we use the information for the component materials received from our suppliers to define the overall status of the finished product, as it relates to the required environmental regulation. Applicable compliance statements are available from SNC upon request for individual part numbers that meet the requested regulation requirements.

SNC will continue to work with our customers to review, plan and implement any requested and approved product changes through our suppliers, that may be required relating to environmental compliance. We are committed to meeting the requirements of our customers by providing products with the highest quality design and engineering, materials, craftsmanship and customer service.
